Attention seeking whores much? cute….don’t get mad when you get raped.
I hate it when a girl, or anyone for that matter, breaks out the “asking for it” bullshit. We as women have the right to wear whatever dumb shit we want, to go wherever we want, to exist free of sexual violence or the threat thereof.
What if we had two high-school-aged boys with “69” written on their chests in body paint, and “DTF” signs over their crotches? We’d call it inappropriate. We would never even make the rape connection. Dumb outfits like these may merit a raised eyebrow and a talk with a school enforcer-of-the-dress-code. They don’t merit violent crime.
Think about the consequences of what you say. When you see a picture like this and comment that this is the kind of girl that gets raped or the kind of stuff that a rape victim wears, you’re perpetuating this terrible stereotype that the women who get raped are the ones who provoke sex. Beyond the whole slut-shaming thing, this type of statement removes blame from the rapist and places it on the victim.
You’re indirectly vindicating the rapist, shaming women into conforming to your normative view of an “acceptable” display of sexuality/modesty, and contributing to an incredibly hostile environment for rape victims, which in turn makes these victims less likely to come forward because, on top of everything else, they don’t want to be perceived as a “whore.”
tl;dr Your words have serious consequences, be careful.
